Larissa Vasilyevna Shavlak

Born on 8.04.1944.

Has graduated from Donetsk State University, post-graduate studies in the University of people's friendship named after P. Lumumba (the Russian National University nowadays) in Moscow.

In 1987 in Moscow has defended dissertation "Structural-semantic peculiarities of verbal one-composite sentences functioning in scientific speech".

She has worked out the following courses:

	Methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language
	Business Ukrainian language
	Stylistics of Russian speech and editing business documentation
	Ukrainian scientific-technical language

She has also worked out computer programs on Russian language for foreign students. She is the author of the methodical books on Russian language for foreign students, author of "Business Ukrainian language".

Sphere of scientific interests:

	Problems of functioning of Russian and Ukrainian languages as means of communication
	Analysis and description of language structures on the material of scientific and official business styles.

She has participated in many international, interinstitutional and regional conferences.

There were published more than 40 scientific works, last of which are:
