Born in 24.08.1939.
Professor, Ph.D., correspondent-member of Ukrainian Technological Academy.
In 1967 has graduated from Donetsk State Technical University and received a diploma in speciality of "Electric drive and automation of industrial plants", and was invited to work on the Chair of Electric Drive. Since1970 till 1973 has undergone the post-graduate studies in Magdeburg University. After defending the dissertation worked as an Associated Professor. He also worked as a Head of the Chair of Electric Drive, as a Dean of Computer Science Faculty.

In 1992 professor Kalashnikov V.I. was appointed as a Dean-organizer of German Technical Faculty. |

He does lecturing on the following courses: "Industrial control systems", "Variable-frequency electric drive", "Interaction of electric drive with the supply lines". |

Professor Kalashnikov V.I. has connections with Ukrainian and German industrial enterprises using Siemens equipment for automation of technological processes and plants in Ukrainian enterprises.
